A Splash of Watercolour Danielle Morris is a local artist who studied Graphic Arts at Liverpool John Moores University. Her ambition is to become a children’s book illustrator. Since graduating she’s worked at a primary school. She loves her job, and she currently illustrates and crafts during the holidays and weekends. Danielle’s favourite medium is watercolour paint; it is perfect for her delicate style and fairy-tale subjects. She loves to study and draw animals, using flowers and nature to frame her paintings. Her work is whimsical, dreamy and often fun. Danielle’s other favourite craft is fabrics; she often uses embroidery to create artwork. Her festive work includes plush toys and Christmas decorations she has designed herself. Danielle has taken part in lots of craft fairs and shows over the last few years, including the Craft and Design Show, and is excited to be returning. She’s also held a couple of solo exhibitions in gallery spaces. Danielle’s ambition is still to illustrate for children; her influences are Quentin Blake, John Tenniel and Brian Froud.
